Commercial policy
Affiliate disclosure
StackCompare may earn a commission when readers click certain vendor links and later purchase software. Those commercial links do not determine rankings, verdicts, shortlist order, or editorial recommendations.
How links are handled
Some vendor buttons route through /go/[id]so outbound clicks can be measured. When a vendor has an approved affiliate or partner link, that link may be used for attribution. If no approved link exists, StackCompare should use a direct vendor URL.
We do not use placeholder affiliate URLs. We also avoid claiming an affiliate relationship until the program has approved StackCompare and supplied a real tracking URL.
Editorial independence
- Commercial status should not change a product verdict.
- Direct vendor links are used when affiliate approval is pending or unavailable.
- Pages should remain useful even if every commercial link is removed.
- Pricing, implementation, migration, and buyer-fit notes should be checked against vendor sources before promotion.
